Piconjo...?

A pico ripoff is more like it.

This movie currently has a rating of 3.37

The lack of quality and content leads me to believe that this "Piconjo" could be running a multiple account scheme to give all his movies high ratings. Very possible as some people have access to multiple IP addresses.

Just look at the reviews.

The drawing wasn't bad, except that most of it was a trace of Tidus from final fantasy 10. The hair and earring really give it away dude.

And you can save your LF/knox fanboy retorts, i don't really prefer the work of either of them.

Not too shabby.

I bet the pope was pretty surprised when instead of ascendig to heaven on silvery wings, he simply ceased to exist.

Hehe.

ImmoralLibertarian responds:

Nah, he always knew the truth. He was just in the game for the power and chicks.

Original

Very nice, haven't seen anything like it before.

Keep improving! ^_^

Gregg-Dix responds:

Thanks the next one will have smoother animation.

Better than I've done so far.

Not horrible, but it made me yawn for two main reasons:

-Story/dialogue needs work. Check your grammar and spelling. Make things more interesting.

-Slow paced. TOO slow paced. The fight scenes need to be sped up and given more detail. The little minion guy stayed in the "slash" position for far too long during what should have been an exciting battle.

Oh, and do add variety to your combat sounds. What killed the medieval weapon scene in Matrix Reloaded? That one "zzziiing" slashing sound being WAY overused.

Keep improving and stick to sprites, because sprites are neato.

Mystic-Skye responds:

lol thanks!

errr...

The pig character was silly lookin'!

But not in a good sort of way. :(

SamurEYE responds:

thank you, you highly encourage my work.

Well done

A nice short sprite fight.

Let me guess... you got your sounds from flashkit.com, correct?

I need to find some suitable sounds myself for my own sprite movies.

iruparattso responds:

Actually I haven't been to that site. I got the sounds by recording them off one of the Megaman Zero games, or by picking a wav track apart from my brother's Samurai Shodown 2 for PC game. Two or three of them I ripped from my Breath of Fire 3 game, and one from Resident Evil 3. That about covers all the sounds I used

Most excellent

Well drawn, well animated, great sounds, excellent story. It is very stylish, and a definite plus in doing japanese voices.

I would like to know what the Homework and PopQuiz are saying when they chant, though.

It's a bit too distorted for me to make out.

Mousekliks responds:

It's a bunch of random numbers. I can't remember the sequence, but I doubt anyone's interested.

A single notch above average

Graphics- The highlight of the movie... and yet still a disappointment. The characters and some effects looked nice, and the animation was pretty decent. However, the lower quality, copy-n'-paste aspects of the movie clashed with the rest so fully that it was almost painful to watch. And still more time could have been devoted to more complex and smoother animation. Watch the "Genryu's Blade" or whatever it's called, and you'll see what i mean.

Sound- Annoying, repetitive music and combat sounds. The voice were nearly unbearable. A voice actor should put more feeling into a work that he or she is serious about. Or perhaps there was simply a distinct lack of skill. Did you find your voice actors WHILE they were recording for Dragonball Z, or did you have to look them up?

Interactivity- Trivial.

Style- The only reason i gave a 5 for this is because surfing on a body is, as far as i know, an original concept. Bravo. That is where the originality ends, though. The only other thing that didn't look like it was copied/"inspired" from someone else's work was at the end when Kazuki turned into Freeza. Erm... i mean a demon... And lastly- Demonic Uzis? right.

Violence- Over the top, just how i like it.

Humor- Demonic Uzis. I laughed pretty damn hard.

Overall- I do not think this movie deserves to be anywhere near the rank it has achieved. Despite the amount of time that might have been put into it, I sincerely believe it should be rated as 2.50 at the MOST, not 3.82.

VirulentShuriken responds:

lol i say your being too picky for someone who hasnt animated anything before. maybe if u knew that animating wasnt easy you would appreciate more peoples movies. i say, try to animate something close to this, then maybe, just maybe your oppinions would be worth listening to.

Not too shabby

If this is only your second flash movie, then you have some potential, i'd say.

The graphics weren't spectacular, but they were impressive nonetheless. A way to improve could be to blur your characters accordingly when they're moving fast, and to make the action sequences (such as the jump and downward slice) a bit faster paced. Throw in slow motion as he hits the apex of his jump, then speed it back up as he falls and strikes.

The ridiculous amount of blood made me chuckle, which is a good thing, but didn't detract from the mood due to your music selection pounding into my ears.

The music suited the movie, but it wasn't my favorite style. Screaming can only be so melodic, after all.

Nice job overall, keep making movies.

kreemi responds:

thanks man.
yeah, timing tweens is one area that im desperately trying to get down.
ive just finished my second submission and feel i have a few tweening issues down now, so i can feel a slicker adventure coming on!! and this time it will be death by the 'dallas' theme tune.

Give a man a fire, and he shall be warm for a day... but SET the man on fire, and he shall be warm for the rest of his life. Which, unfortunately, won't be very long.
